“Learning, Leading and Linking” As a community resource for life-long learning, Community Education is a unique educational concept that embraces everyone in the community. Anyone can be involved and assist in determining community needs. An Advisory Council comprised of representatives from different areas of our community assists in advising staff, identifying community resources, determining community needs and sharing responsibility for the mission of educating all members of the community. Community Education brings community members together to identify and link community needs and resources in a manner that helps people to help themselves and raise the quality of life in their communities. Community Education collaborates with many different community agencies and organizations which results in efficient and cost-effective ways of delivering education and community services and collective action to address quality of life issues. Programs offered through Community Education that includes, but are not limited to: * Adult Basic Education * English as a Second Language * School Age Child Care * G.E.D. Test Center * General Community Education * Early Childhood Family Education * Extended Learning * Youth Development/Youth Service.
